i know it's old news by now, but i went to the topshop opening on april 2nd. i didn't have a busy afternoon, so i was one of the crazies who braved the 2 hour line to get inside the store.
was it crowded?
uh-huh.
was there line cutting drama?
totally.
was it completely, 100% worth it?
you betcha.
while topshop trades mostly in the ubertrendy, i found a couple of classic pieces -- chanel-esque black flats, a white button-back tee -- and i really love them! the ostrich feather skirt was a whim... i'm still trying to figure out how best to wear it. i just love the way it moves!
a word to the wise, if you haven't been, don't expect the following two things:
1) low prices : topshop is pretty affordable - but it's not forever 21. the kate moss collection is especially pricy. but it's definitely a higher quality product than 21 or h&m, so i feel like you get what you pay for, most of the time.
2) fewer crowds: i went almost a week later with my boyfriend's little sister and it was still really busy. there isn't a line anymore, but i have a feeling it will be a while before the buzz calms down.
