i don't know how i got away with living on the lower east side without knowing about refinery 29. it's a great online store featuring indie brands, and showcasing the wares of several nyc retailers like in god we trust and honey in the rough (both of which i used to walk by everyday!) these are my favorite items...i can't wait to find more!

photo from style.comi just moved to an apartment with less-than-convenient subway access, so i've been thinking about bicycles. i'm a little terrified to bike in the city, but it might be nice... plus, it seems like the accessory du jour. topshop is doing a whole bicycle chic event in-store!
it's about time
i've been waiting for this movie for a long time...it's the big-screen adaptation of audrey niffenegger's novel "the time traveller's wife" which is one of my all time favorite books. the trailer looks promising, although it's hard to go wrong with rachel mcadams and eric bana!

i'm in the market for a new black bag. i've been looking all over for days, and so far these are my top three candidates:
1) topshop ~ this square-ish bag is simple and stylish. it seems like a good size, and i like that it has a cross-body option. drawback: it's synthetic.
2) botkier - this is from their fall 2009 collection, and i love the ladylke shape and the zippers.
drawback: the price point is a little higher than i wanted.
3) botkier - i love how the details of this bag are kind of hidden by the leather; the bows remind me of miu miu. drawback: it might be too small.
